Fight the Real Enemy

Gonna raise me an army, some tough sons of bitches
I'll recruit my army from the orphanages - Bob Dylan

In the United States, in the forshortened weeks before its next post-modern election, every action appears to have an equal and opposite distraction. Telling one from the other, that's the hardest thing.

This time, the Democrats may do just well enough to revive faith that the system works and that its workings are of consequence. (Like Jonathan Richman sings in "Walter Johnson": "Boys, this game's no fun if you don't get a hit once in a while.") Simone Weil wrote that "imagination and fiction make up more than three quarters of our real life," and if we can't imagine a better world than this then we can be certain one will be imagineered for us. A bipartisan soft tyranny that rules by mass delusion will concede the odd happy ending, that is actually neither.

The quote is from Weil's essay "Some Thoughts on the Love of God." They're wartime words, written during the worst of it, and imagination and storytelling remain our best means to interpret our attenuated circumstance that already passes understanding.

And everywhere is war. Fourteen years ago, Sinead O'Connor's storytelling on Saturday Night Live sounded to many like hateful babbling, but I expect today it would sound to more like fearless love. The Pope's picture was remembered, but not the child's. Maybe now, because we know more, it would be.

Mark Foley, we know, had been the co-chair of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, which was formed to provide federal assistance to the National Center of the same name. Its Board of Directors includes Floridian cocaine smuggler Hank Asher who founded the corporation which purged his state's voter rolls in 2000. In 2003 he was hired to help identify potential terrorists for Florida's Department of Law Enforcement. ("This has been highly controversial, largely because of Asher's alleged past links to drug smuggling.") Foley himself played a leading role in suppressing the hand recount. So what are such men with such histories, and in such a state as Florida, doing orbiting about the issue of missing and exploited children?

(And it may be more curious still. A poster on the RI forum links Foley with Bush family favourite Mel Sembler's juvenille mind control enterprise "Straight," and connects Straight to Paul Bishop of the Johnny Gosch snake pit.)

"Don't get distracted - stay focused" - a lot of Don't Stop Thinkin' About Tomorrow Democrats will be saying that more than usual this month. Many of them think Foley represents a distraction, albeit a happy one. But perhaps it's the election itself that distracts Americans with a shiny hoax battlefield, away from the real war they would know better if they would heed the dis-ease of their storytellers.

Jeff, I love reading your stuff. You open up new realms of thought and expand on others already familiar. But I ask the others here, and you, where a reader or thinker should draw the line of belief. Your writing is convincing, and the links you make amongst various source material is brilliant. But some days I want to believe in the "hoax battlefield." I want to believe the netroots fight to turn the Democratic party into a good government progressive force are real and hopeful. Some days I believe in love, some days I believe in existential materialist hopelessness. Sometimes you scare me shitless, when I begin to believe in alien influence and mass elite mind control and ritual child abuse by Cheney and Scalia and the like. But moment to moment I don't actually have a firm opinion. Sometimes I think Cheney was right in on the 911 planning, sometimes I think that these guys are just incompetent profiteers. I really am inquistively clueless. I know there are no firm answers, but I'd like to know if other readers share my constant ambivalence about the plausability of much of the "high weirdness" and some of the other topics of this site fall outside the normal discourse. Thanks for chiming in, and thanks to all for contibuting to this deeply informative and, in it's own way, entertaining site.
Peace, y'all

Although most people have cognitive dissonance with sex issues.
Finding it better to listen to the spin doctors sweet lies of apology or downplaying the facts.

Ah, they were just blowing off steam.
Much more palatable.

The franklin coverup and johnny and call boys midnight visit to the white house ring truer than ever for me.

Posters have wrote that the pictures in IRAQ of which we only saw the lesser part of.
Were taken for the US higher ups pleasure.
With what Libby wrote I tend to think perversion is name of the game in the beltway for many high up in the food chain elitist pleasure seekers.

Not to discount the intels use of photos for blackmail giving authorization for these things to be set in place for entrapment and blackmail purposes of maintaining order.

Perhaps the two attract each other.
Intel + sex + drugs = control of most people targeted through their desires.

Where sex is used like a weapon to bring down and control.
Preventing change change to the status quo.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

On: "sometimes I think that these guys are just incompetent profiteers"

I believe that to attribute incompetence to what the administration has done would stretch imagination beyond limit. Statistically, they should have at least accidentally done something "good" by now. As it stands, they're like a broken clock that somehow does NOT tell the correct time, even twice a day.

Bush and Co. appear to have honed their ability at "failure" to the level of Grand Masters.

A few months ago I read a book by Charles Upton that was pubished by Sophia Perennis press. The author Upton and this book have been mentioned by a number of posters on this site before as being relevant to most of the topics of discussion that are a focus of Rig Int. The first time through it, I was a bit skeptical. After reading the book through carefully once, I wasn’t sure whether to put much stock in either the author nor the book. But a second close reading has convinced me of the author’s sincerity and relative degree of insight.

After reading the book's 520 pages through a second time, and in light of current ongoing political events, I have come to the conclusion that, all in all, it is rather brilliant. Below is a brief excerpt that I ahve typed out by hand, because I think it hits the nail squarely on the head with regard to the current geopolitical machinations vis a vis the “clash of civilizations”. Keeping in mind this broader view could help innoculate the unwary against becoming infected by any potential upcoming "Octber Surpise", such as that which might occur this Friday, October the 13th, the 699th anniversary of French King Phillipe the Fair's arrest of the Knights Templar and seizure of much of their vast wealth.

While one may not have the time nor the inclination to read a 500+ page book, one might well find the following two page political meta-analysis to be of interest. I think that it is especially insightful, considering that it was written in the late 1990’s and year 2000, and published 1 February 2001. Upton seems to have anticipated such things as the “War on Terrorism”, a.k.a. the “Long War”, and the concerted efforts of the Western media to marginalize and demonise Islam, in service of protracted social and military conflict, all with a particular endgame or eschatology in mind. Note while reading this that Upton is not a Christian, but rather a Muslim, in particular a Naqshbandi Sufi.

“In a world profoundly polarized between the Gog of syncretist globalism and the Magog of exclusivist ‘tribalism’ – a word which is beginning to denote what used to be called ‘nationalism’ or ‘patriotism’ or ‘loyalty to one’s religion’ – the Transcendent Unity of Religions clearly represents a middle path, or third force, at least in the religious field. It is equally opposed to the universalism of the global elites and the violent self-assertion of the fundamentalist ‘tribes’ oppressed and marginalized by these elites. Perhaps this is one reason why groups and individuals who hold to this doctrine have been subjected to the immense degree of psychic pressure which observers on the outskirts of the Traditionalist School, such as myself, cannot fail to note. It is reasonable to conjecture that Antichrist would like nothing better than to subvert and discredit the Traditionalists, since the Transcendent Unity of religions is one of the few worldviews that could possibly stand in the way of the barren and terminal conflict between globalism and tribalism which is the keynote of his ‘system’ in the social arena.

If all possible alternatives to the struggle between globalism and tribalism disappear from the collective mind, the Antichrist has won. He can use economic and political globalism and the universalism of a ‘world fusion spirituality’ to subvert and oppress all integral religions and religious cultures, forcing them to narrow their focus and violate the fullness of their own traditions in reaction against it. He can drive them to bigoted and terroristic excesses which will make them seem barbaric and outdated in the eyes of those wavering between a global and a tribal identification, and set them at each other’s throats at the same time. Unite to oppress; divide and conquer.

In this light, we can see that the exclusivism of conservative and/or traditional Christianity is both its greatest strength and its greatest weakness; the same could be said, with certain reservations, of Judaism and Islam. The exclusivism of these Abrahamic religions allows them to consciously fortify themselves against the System of Antichrist – Christianity by its ‘catacomb spirit’, its ability, ultimately derived from monasticism, to build spiritual fortresses against the world, and Islam by the fact that dar al Islam remains the largest bloc of humanity which, in part, is still socially and politically organized around a Divine Revelation, although to greatly varying degrees, as were Medieval Europe and the Byzantine Empire.

On the other hand, their very exclusivism has prevented these religions, in all but a few instances, from making common cause against globalist universalism and secularism. They remain vulnerable to the ‘divide and conquer’ tactics of the system of Antichrist, a phase which could well be the prelude, if traditional eschatological speculations such as those found in Dennis E. Engleman’s Ultimate Things are to be believed, to a later ‘unite to oppress’ phase – a capitulation by the exhausted exclusivists, longing for the end of endless conflict, to the satanic universalism of Antichrist himself.

According to Ultimate Things, Antichrist will reveal himself in Jerusalem and proclaim himself King of the Jews; the Jewish nation, as well as many Christians, will accept him. From the Islamic perspective, however, any world ruler who begins as a King of the Jews and is later submitted to by the Christians would be immediately and universally recognized as Antichrist himself. It is inconceivable, unless traditional and even fundamentalist Islam were to virtually disappear, that such a figure could tempt Muslims to accept him as the Mahdi or the eschatological Jesus. So if the predictions Engleman recounts are in any way accurate, he is in fact presenting, as the most likely eschatological scenario, a mass apostasy of Jews and Christians which would leave only the Muslims aware of who Antichrist really is, and ready to do battle with him. How then could Antichrist emerge as a true global monarch, albeit a satanic one? Perhaps the militant opposition of an Islam discredited in the eyes of the rest of the world to an almost universally admired ‘savior’ is the very thing which will ultimately consolidate his power. I hasten to say that this is in no way a prediction; God forbid. I am simply allowing myself to imagine various scenarios based on the quality of ultimate irony and self-contradiction which is the keynote of all historical forces in these latter days. And one of the twists of this irony is fact that many semi-secularized Muslims seem much more in tune with the mores of postmodern globalist culture than any Christian I could name.

If the greatest strength and greatest weakness of traditional Christianity is in its exlusivism, the comparable strength and weakness of Buddhism, especially in the West, is in its ability to ‘fit in’. (The same goes for heterodox Westernized Hinduism and various influences, such as Feng Shui, Taoist meditation, and Sino-Japanese martial arts, originating in the Far East.) At its best, this represents a radical detachment from the norms of ‘the world’, allowing it to avoid all forms of dogmatic literalism and fundamentalism and the marginalization such a stance often entails. At it worst, it indicates a capitulation to the collective egotism of this very ‘world’.

In the United States at least, Buddhism is an acceptable part of the general Neo-Pagan cultural drift, which, while it may not identify with globalism, nonetheless often ends by serving it. (The same is true of certain strands of American Sufism, especially those which attempt to separate the Sufi tradition from Islam.) As a religion which recognizes a fall (into ignorance) and posits a goal of salvation (via enlightenment), it ‘naturally’ has a much greater affinity with the Abrahamic religions than with a Paganism which accepts the ontological status quo and seeks only to profit from it. But that’s not how things have worked out sociologically. American Buddhism, as a non-theistic religion (though certainly not an atheism, since it possesses a doctrine of the Absolute), has been attractive to many people – especially, as it turns out, many American Jews – who are in flight from their own narrow-minded and superstitious ideas of God. An acquaintance of mine, a traditional Catholic who studied for years under the Hopi elders, tells the story of a ‘Buddhist Halloween party’ where a well-known American Buddhist teacher, dressed as a ‘Sufi’, made the statement that Buddhism is better than the Abrahamic religions because, just like the Native Americans, the Buddhists don’t believe in God – a statement which my friend knew, from long personal experience with Native American spirituality, to be totally false. It was nonetheless an idea which would ‘play well’ to the general liberal, New Age and Neo-Pagan culture from which this teacher draws his students, the kind of people whose appreciation for the American Indians is even more destructive to Native American spirituality than their attraction to Buddhism is to Buddhism.

The false ecumenism of Neo-Pagan, New Age culture is the seed-bed for that ‘world fusion spirituality’ in which fragments of every spiritual tradition are promiscuously thrown together, to their mutual corruption. True ecumenism on the other hand – the outer expression of the ‘esoteric ecumenism’ of the Transcendent Unity of Religions, which understands the very uniqueness and particularity of the authentic religious traditions as the transcendent basis for their unity – is not a syncretistic amalgam or a diplomatic glossing-over of doctrinal differences, but a united front against a common enemy: that unholy alliance of scientism, magical materialism, idolatry of the psyche and postmodern nihilism which is headed, with all deliberate speed, toward the system of Antichrist.”

Jeff writes, on the typical American 'fox in charge of the henhouse' style investigations':

"A poster on the RI forum links Foley with Bush family favourite Mel Sembler's juvenille mind control enterprise "Straight," and connects Straight to Paul Bishop of the Johnny Gosch snake pit.)

...

Mark Foley, we know, had been the co-chair of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, which was formed to provide federal assistance to the National Center of the same name. So what are such men with such histories, and in such a state as Florida, doing orbiting about the issue of missing and exploited children?"

And yet another similar context of foxes in charge of henhouses?

Another log on the Republican Pedophile Party funeral pyre?

Hastert, who quickly made the empty annoucement that "everything's fine now, let's move on and think terrorism" on his last day of Congressional session was timed well I thought to get the hell out of Dodge, by dodging and refusing to take any questions.

He quickly quickly exited after his prepared little statement, particularly odious because Hastert himself was already pegged as part of the coverup, as he was already reported that he had been sitting on such information for over a year about Foley and had done nothing about it. And who told Haster about Foley. His Chief-of-Staff, Palmer.

Particularly given that interesting relationship between Hastert and Palmer, he had plenty to run away from with that background...

Since Hastert has his own "male page" issue:

Hastert's Palmer is a 'live in' male chief-of-staff. This live in guy of Hasterts, Palmer, was the one supposedly to tell Hastert about Foley.

Thus, Hastert does one up on Foley.

Hastert lives with his male staff workers...instead of just screwing them on the side.

(posted by Lawrence O'Donnell)
Who is Scott Palmer?

Palmer is Speaker Hastert's chief of staff, which makes him the key player in the what-did-Hastert-know-and-when-did-he-know-it drama. [...]

If Fordham did warn Palmer about Foley a long time ago, what are the odds that Palmer did not tell Hastert? As close to zero as you can get. Many chiefs of staff are close, very close, to their bosses on Capitol Hill. But none are closer than Scott Palmer is to Denny Hastert. Haster and his chief of staff Palmer don't just work together all day, they live together.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/lawrence-odonnell/who-is-scott-palmer_b_31171.html

And it was ol Hastert who made the announcment that "it's all different now", sure......

Don't buy it. Tell Haster to resign. He even has the gaul to post a 1-800 number. It's like telling a criminal boss what loose ends he has to cover up if you call it. Intead, tell him to resign as well.

Mr. Hastert's Toll-Free Tip Line

Another cloaked Republican pedophile suspect, Speaker Hastert has graciously made available a toll-free Tip line to notify them of Congress' mis-deeds, so they may investigate them fully--or get tips on what to cover up first, privately, as the case may be.

Instead, if you have a complaint, just take it directly to the police in other words.

However, it would be appropriate to notify Haster directly of
other matters which have led to our being "violated".

Illegal wars.
Torture.
Squashing habeous corpus.
Tinkering with the constitution.
Willy-nilly spying on American citizens.

The list of "violations" goes on and on.

C'mon, Let Denny know how you've been "violated".

1-866-384-0481

It's toll-free. CALL NOW!

http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/news_theswamp/2006/10/hastert_briefin.html

And nothing is complete without watching a relatively clear version of Conspiracy of Silence--on Republican pedophila national networks, drug smuggling connections, and child prostitution, and child kidnapping.

All that would have come out (no pun intended) in 1994 just as the Godly Ol Pedophile Party (GOP) took both houses of Congress in that year.

However, in that year, the Republican Congress squashed this film on their pedophilic primrose path to power. If you have yet to see, it catch up on something that is still incredibly important and timely.

Right on, Shrub.

Anonymous the First,
I beg to quibble. When you say, "I know there are no firm answers," you seem to quickly forget Jeff's warning:

This time, the Democrats may do just well enough to revive faith that the system works and that its workings are of consequence.

There are firm answers; they're just not very appetizing. And that's why it is still tempting, isn't it? No matter how deeply in our bones we know that democracy is an illusion when money and secrecy determine policy, we still want to believe so much that it's possible that maybe this thing can be turned around through conventional means & channels. While I have never been so naïve (or syrup-sappy) as the “don’t stop thinking about tomorrow-ists,” I am a confessed and convicted optimist, both schizophrenically hopeful and terminally cynical. In the fall of 2000, I played my last gig with my post-punk anarcho-grungibilly pop band at an Irish-themed Troskyite gay bar, and even though it was a benefit concert for the Green Party and we all knew that no one gave a rat’s ass about Ralph’s actual chances of even making a statement (much less a dent in the illusion--"The cost of being presented as a 'responsible and serious candidate' by the media [is] usually to show fundamental agreement with the existing distribution of wealth and power"--Michael Lerner), the sap still ran when the singer graveled the anthem:

Al Gore is corporate whore,
And George Bush is a Nazi…
I think I’m turning Green,
I’m really turning green…

Was it really all just the free booze and dope that made those glassy eyes shine that night? Did we really imagine that the corporations that write the script were going to somehow hand their playbook in and step aside? Or, wait--maybe they'd just reform themselves, right? (Isn't that the Republican method of industry compliance to govermental regulation--that it's voluntary?)

Here’s the deepest bottom line: it’s not just the role of money and secrecy in “our democracy” that prevent it from being democratic. It’s the fact that the real deal cannot and will not ever be addressed in the heavily controlled media. The secret history is an open secret whose truths have been conveniently discredited by the regime’s bogeymen on the world stage. When Osama tim Osman quotes William Blum (or when Hugo Chavez holds a book of Chomsky while describing the smell of sulphur), the idea of blowback is dismissed as irrelevant leftist propaganda.

Not that there was much of an audience before, but no one is now going to read or take seriously something like Richard K. Moore’s Globalization and the Revolutionary Imperative: from Global Tyranny to Democratic Renaissance. In the section Pax Americana and the Postwar Corporate Regime, no "voters" will be reading things like this:

"If we see that Germany is winning we should help Russia and if Russia is winning we ought to help Germany and that way let them kill as many as possible." - Harry S. Truman, 1941

Or, describing the development of the postwar "free world," assessments like this:

"In public reality the U.S. would be providing benign leadership and policing on behalf of the international community in pursuit of democracy and peace. In hidden reality the U.S. would be intervening on behalf of international capital while explaining its actions in public-reality terms. That's what was explicitly anticipated in the CFR planning documents, and that's precisely how things have developed ever since. William Blum's Killing Hope chronicles in detail the postwar history of this dual-agenda system, contrasting rhetoric with reality in 55 separate intervention incidents. Some of these interventions were overt and some covert - but the motivating agendas were in all cases covert."

It's an uphill struggle to get people to face unpleasant truths as it is, as psychologist Daniel Goleman explains:

"There is an almost gravitational pull toward putting out of mind unpleasant facts. And our collective ability to face painful facts is no greater than our personal one. We tune out, we turn away, we avoid. Finally we forget, and forget we have forgotten."

We know, all of us, even the barking mad Republicans, that the world will never be peaceful when one small group of perverts controlling the largest empire in history has gathered unto itself the resources of the entire planet to parcel out as it sees fit. We know that imperialism and trickle-down economics are morally indefensible, but we forget and pretend; we blather on about anything else except the "unpleasant facts" of our existence. But don't let that stop us from whistling an inane ditty from focking Stevie Nicks while we step into the "voting machine."

Mammon is a metaphor for the flawed socioeconomic paradigm in which we operate. That flawed paradigm creates the artifice of celebrity by exacting the soul of those who seek it. By this mere fact, however well-intentioned said celebrity, or celebrities may be, if their misbegotten status is used to further a cause, no matter how noble it may be, it is compromised by their very compromise.

"An example that became public knowledge because of its scale occurred some months later in the Côpenick area of Berlin, where a Social Democratic trade unionist defended himself, with the help of his sons, against an SA patrol that broke into his home at night to `arrest' him. In obvious self-defence he shot two SA men. As a result, he and his sons were overcome by a larger troop of SA men and hanged in a shed in the yard that same night. Next day the SA patrols appeared in Côpenick, in disciplined order, entered the homes of every known Social Democrat and killed them on the spot. The exact number of deaths was never made public."

I think that to read Jeff's blog, you have to be able to maintain what my husband calls a "grey area" -- things that you neither know to be true nor know to be untrue, but are willing to entertain as possibilities pending further information.

Many of the areas Jeff covers don't even have an "official theory" that he's competing with -- nobody else is talking about them at all, or trying to draw the pieces together. Jeff is pointing to something real and meaningful, even if he doesn't have all the details right, and that in itself is far more important than asking "where a reader or thinker should draw the line of belief."

Similarly, I think the dichotomy between "incompetent profiteers" and all-knowing masterminds is a false and misleading one. We live in the realm of intermediacy, and like everything else, Cheney and company are somewhere in the middle -- doing their best to manipulate events but as often as not running up against the Law of Unintended Consequences.

one for the money -

Your mention of Friday, October 13 reminds me I've been meaning to bring up some posts that have recently appeared at Democratic Underground, offering what appears to be inside knowledge about Andrew Card and the State Street Bank and promising that something devastating to the Republicans is going to come out this month.

The poster uses the screen name IdesOfOctober, and when asked about its significance replied:

The choice ties to many things.

1. It is meant to evoke the Ides of March, when an attempt to restore the Roman Republic was made.

2. It is meant to evoke Friday, October 13th (the Ides are either the 13th or the 15th of the month, depending upon the month). Any Friday, October 13th has special significance (Dan Brown enthusiasts and Freemasons take note): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_Templar

3. The proverbial "October Surprise" that can help an out-of-power party turn a victory into a rout.

Something strange is certainly going on there -- recall that Card is also Susan Lindauer's second cousin -- but tossing Freemasonry in with what would otherwise just seem to be party politics makes it particularly bizarre.

It can't happen here, right?

"This form of terror had the advantage that, according to the circumstances, one could either shrug one's shoulders and speak of `the unavoidable, if regrettable, side effects of any revolution' - using the justification for revolutionary terror - or point to the strict discipline and explain that public law and order were being maintained and that these actions were required to prevent revolutionary disorder overwhelming Germany the justification for repressive terror. Both excuses were used in turn, depending on the audience being addressed.

In contrast, the Nazis never showed anything but the sly, pale, cowardly face of a murderer denying his crime. While they were systematically torturing and murdering their defenceless victims, they daily declared in fine, noble words that not a single hair of anyone's head would be harmed, and that never before had a revolution shed less blood or been conducted more humanely.

Indeed, only a few weeks after the atrocities began, a law was passed that forbade anyone, under pain of severe penalties, to claim, even in the privacy of their own home, that atrocities were taking place.

Of course, it was not the intention to keep the atrocities secret. In that case they would not have served their purpose, which was to induce general fear, alarm and submission. On the the contrary, the purpose was to intensify the terror by cloaking it in secrecy and making even talking about it dangerous. An open declaration of what was happening in SA cellars and concentration camps in a public speech or in the press - might still have led to desperate resistance, even in Germany. The secret whispered rumours, `Be careful, my friend! Do you know what happened to X?' were much more effective in breaking people's backbones.

The effect was intensified by the way one was permanently occupied and distracted by an unending sequence of celebrations, ceremonies, and national festivities. It started with a huge victory celebration before the elections on the 4th of March - `Tag der nationalen Erhebung' (day of national rising). There were mass parades, fireworks, drums, bands and flags all over Germany, Hitler's voice over thousands of loudspeakers, oaths and vows - and all before it was even certain that the elections might not be a setback for the Nazis, which indeed they were.

These elections, the last that were ever held in pre-war Germany, brought the Nazis only 44 per cent of the votes (in the previous elections they had achieved 37 per cent). The majority was still against the Nazis. If you consider that terror was in full swing, that the parties of the Left had been prohibited from all public activity in the decisive final week before the elections, you have to admit that the German people as a whole had behaved quite decently. However, it made no difference at all. The defeat was celebrated like a victory, the terror intensified, the celebrations multiplied. Flags never left the windows for a whole fortnight.

A week later Hindenburg abolished the Weimar national flag, which was replaced by the swastika banner and a black, white and red `temporary national flag'. There were daily parades, mass meetings, declarations of gratitude for the liberation of the nation, military music from dawn to dusk, award ceremonies for heroes, the dedication of flags and, as a final climax, the tasteless display of the `Day of Potsdam' - with the traitor Hindenburg visiting the grave of Frederick the Great, Hitler swearing loyalty to something or other for the n-th time, bells tolling, a solemn procession to church of the members of the Reichstag, a military parade, swords lowered in salute, children waving flags and a torchlight parade.

The colossal emptiness and lack of meaning of these never-ending events was by no means unintentional. The population should become used to cheering and jubilation; even when there was no visible reason for it. It was reason enough that people who distanced themselves too obviously - sshh! - were daily and nightly tortured to death with steel whips and electric drills. Better to celebrate, howl with the wolves, `Heil, Heil!' Besides, people began to enjoy doing so. The weather in March 1933 was glorious. Was it not wonderful to celebrate in the spring sunshine, in squares decked with flags? To merge with the festive crowds and listen to high-sounding patriotic speeches, about freedom, and fatherland, exaltation and holy vows? (It was certainly better than having one's belly pumped up with a water hose in some hidden SA cellar.)

People began to join in - at first mostly from fear. After they had participated, they no longer wanted to do so just from fear. That would have been mean and contemptible. So the necessary ideology was supplied. That was the spiritual basis of the victory of the National Socialist revolution.

True, something further was necessary to achieve all this. That was the cowardly treachery of all party and organisational leaders, to whom the 56 per cent of the population who had voted against the Nazis on the 5th of March had entrusted themselves. This terrible and decisive event was not much noticed by the outside world. Naturally, the Nazis had no interest in drawing attention to it, since it would considerably devalue their `victory', and as for the traitors themselves: well, of course, they did not want attention drawn to it. Nevertheless, it is finally only this betrayal that explains the almost inexplicable fact that a great nation, which cannot have consisted entirely of cowards, fell into ignominy without a fight.

The betrayal was complete, extending from Left to Right. I have already described how, behind their façade of being `ready’ and prepared for civil war, the Communists were only preparing for the emigration of their leading members. What of the Social Democratic leadership? Their betrayal of their faithful and blindly loyal millions of followers, for the most part decent, unimportant individuals, had begun on the 20th of July 1932, when Severing and Grzesinski `yielded to greater force'. They had fought the election campaign of 1933 in a dreadfully humiliating way, chasing after the Nazi slogans and emphasizing that they were `also nationalist'. On the 4th of March, a day before the elections, their `strong man', the Prussian prime minister Otto Braun, drove across the Swiss frontier. He had prudently bought a small house in Ticino. In May, a month before they were finally dissolved, the Social Democratic faction in the Reichstag had unanimously expressed their confidence in Hitler and joined in the singing of the Horst Wessel Song, the Nazi anthem. (The official parliamentary report noted: `Unending applause and cheers, in the house and the galleries. The Reichschancellor turns to the Social Democratic faction and applauds.')

It can't happen here, right?

As the parties, so the leagues. There was a `League of Communist Front-Line Veterans' and a centrist association called Reichsbanner with a black, red and gold flag, the colours of the Weimar Republic. It was organised on military lines by a coalition of centrist parties including the Social Democrats, had arms and millions of members and was explicitly intended to hold the SA in check. During the whole period this association remained completely invisible, not a glimmer. It disappeared without trace, as though it had never existed. Resistance in Germany only took the form of individual acts of desperation --as in the case of the trade union official in Côpenick. The officers of the Reichsbanner showed not the slightest opposition when their facilities were `taken over' by the SA. The Stahlhelm, the army of the German nationalists, permitted itself to be absorbed and then dissolved bit by bit. They grumbled, but offered no resistance. There was not one single example of energetic defence, of courage or principle. There was only panic, flight, and desertion. In March 1933 millions were ready to fight the Nazis. Overnight they found themselves without leaders. Some tried to join the Stahlhelm and the German nationalists, when it became clear that none of the others were going to fight. For a few weeks their membership numbers showed an exceptional rise, then the organisation was disbanded - and it, too, capitulated without a fight.

--from 'Defying Hitler,' by Sebastian Haffner

(Haffner describes how the party is broken up by the police and he has his first encounter with the SS.)

"Do we really have to leave?"

"You have permission to leave," was the reply, and I flinched, so threateningly had it been said: slowly, icily and maliciously. I looked at him - and flinched again. What kind of face was that? Not the usual, familiar, friendly, honest face of an ordinary policeman. This face seemed to consist entirely of teeth. The man had literally snarled at me, baring both rows of teeth, an unusual grimace for a human being. His teeth showed, small, pointed and evil like a shark's. The whole pale, blond face was fish- like and shark-like under the helmet, with watery colourless eyes and a pike's pointed nose above the teeth. Very Nordic, one had to admit, but then again not really human, rather more like the face of a crocodile. ...

Two days later there was the Reichstag fire.

From 1927 on I reported the rise of Hitler, and by chance was passing the Reichstag when it burst into flames in 1933. This event (used to set up the secret-police-and-concentration-camp system in Germany, on the Bolshevist model) cemented Hitler in power, but some prescience, that night, told me that it meant much more than that. In fact the present unfinished ordeal of the West dates from that night, not from the later war."

It can't happen here, right?

shrubbagedon, I'm having a hard time following your reasoning. Could you possibly elucidate a few points?

paradigm: don't see how you can attribute an action to a set of ideas. as a metaphor?

soul: another metaphor?

compromise: if working in the system means working for the system, how can *anyone* do otherwise?

Yep! (Unsure why I'm so happy about this, though some confirmation that Hastert has "Franklin cover up" written all over him, as Speaker of the House of Representatives)

DC Gays Say Hastert Had Sex With Young 'Men For Hire'?

By Wayne Madsen
10-8-2006

The rumors about another top GOP member of the House being involved in sexual encounters with young "men for hire" are confirmed to WMR by well-placed sources in Washington's gay community.

The member in question is House Speaker Dennis Hastert, whose "alternate" life style is the primary reason for him and his staff covering up the scandal involving ex-Florida GOP Rep. Mark Foley and his lewd messages sent to underage male congressional pages.

Hastert's penchant to receive anal sex is well-known to our sources in DC's gay community.

Additionally, Hastert's reported extremely small penis is the subject of many jokes among Washington's gay circles.

Speaker Hastert: The "butt" of many jokes among Washington's gay community.

WMR reported on old charges that swirled around Hastert when he was a high school wrestling coach at Yorkville High School in Yorkville, Illinois. Hastert decided to enter politics in 1980 after rumors surfaced about inappropriate contact with male high school students.

In July, Hastert was hospitalized at Bethesda Naval Hospital for cellulitis, a bacterial skin infection. In the Feb. 7, 2003 issue of AIDS Treatment News, doctors reported that they saw "a large increase in aggressive, antibiotic-resistant 'staph' (Staphylococcus aureus) skin infections in gay men in some areas -- and a separate epidemic in certain prisons.

Symptoms include boils or blisters; treatment can be difficult, and sometimes requires hospitalization.

One HIV doctor in Los Angeles who used to see about one case a year is now seeing two a week. In the past this infection occurred mainly in hospitals."

The reports of serious skin infections among gay men was also reported in the Los Angeles Times on Jan. 27, 2003.

WMR has also learned that Republicans will soon mount an effort to discredit a senior House Democratic member with a sex scandal of a rather different nature.

The member is aware of the plans and is circling the political wagons if the GOP launches their expected attack.

3 More Ex-Pages Accuse Foley Of Net Sex Approaches

paradigm: don't see how you can attribute an action to a set of ideas. as a metaphor?

I'm not following you. Mammon represents, metaphorically, the socio/political/economic paradigm that currently prevails. It's the Beast we feed, nourish and perpetuate, everyday. Celebrity is just one head/arm/digit/appendage of this mythically mighty Beast.

soul: another metaphor?

It can be both, depending on the observer's beliefs. If the observer believes there are souls, then it can be both literal and metaphorical....but in the least, it's always metaphor.

compromise: if working in the system means working for the system, how can *anyone* do otherwise?

Therein lays the conundrum.....and the central tenet of Iridescent Cuttlefish's thesis. If there's any chance, it would have to be a synchronous shift by the aggregate of humanity, but in order for that to occur, we would have to hasten the pace of Globalization. In otherwords, we would have to skirt the edge of the abyss (global feudalism), in order to synchronize an aggregate shift to a new paradigm.

It's a daunting challenge, and highly implausible, if you ask me. The various one-offs that we see in such abundance do nothing to impede the steady march to extinction. They are easily, and often, co-opted and/or compromised by people with ulterior motives and hidden agendas.

Celebrity is not part of the solution....it's part of the problem. It coerces us to look upward and outward for a solution, when the solution is to be found within and between.

My wife informed me this evening that my 4 yr old son had unexpected visitors the other night. He said "Mommy, did you see the little people last night? They were nice. They won't hurt me. They were moving all around my room." My wife thought it peculiar, but didn't delve any further.....until, she speaks with a colleague at our children's school, who tells her that her son, who is 12, said the same thing to her several nights prior.

Coincidence? My Rigorous Intuition says perhaps not. To further add to the intrigue, I found my son's bedroom window unlocked today and somewhat ajar.

Weird.

Deviant Conservative Males: an Analysis

By Ben Tripp
Created Sep 30 2006 - 4:50pm

Joke:

Q: What's the hardest part of being a child molester?

A: Getting the blood out of your clown suit.

Mr. St. Clair of CounterPunch recently supplied me with a list of sex crimes committed by prominent conservative Republicans. The list originated on Wikipedia, and he found it here [1], probably while surfing the Internet for Lolita pictures.

It is replete with cross-references and is genuine. Mr. St. Clair, being high on dope, thought I would find the list interesting. He probably did not think I would read the entire thing aloud to my co-workers at the Philistine Worker's Daily, to heartbreaking cries of horror and implorations that I stop before their minds were so tainted they were rendered unfit for wedlock.

I now bring you a mere sample of the list of crimes, all of them heinous, so that you might begin to see a pattern among them. I know I did.

(A similar and more comprehensive list, including crimes can be found here [2]. It will make your hair curl, uncurl, crawl under the sofa, and die.)

Here is the sample of the list supplied to me by St. Clair. You can't make this shit up.

-- Republican Mayor John Gosek of Oswego, New York was arrested on charges of soliciting sex from two 15-year old girls.

My subject is the so-called conservative male, by which I mean the social conservative, not the fiscal conservative; fiscal conservatives are mean-spirited sons of bitches, but are not necessarily psychotic.

Both groups should stop breathing, but while one of them would be performing a courtesy in so doing, the other would be securing the future of the species. The depravity of the conservative male is in exact counter-proportion to the degree of righteousness towards which that conservative pretends.

Or to put it another way, show me a pillar and I will show you a pervert.

These are not healthy people.

They repress the thoughts and feelings that the rest of us let drift unheeded into the ether, raising little more reaction from the well mind than 'where the hell did that come from?'

I spent years driving my kid to school on a route (the shortest route, you swine) that took us past a Catholic high school. Every morning, swarms of teen girls in plaid kilties, knee socks, and white oxford shirts --a costume second only to the French Maid in terms of prurient association-- could be seen on the school lawn, methodically rolling up the waistbands of their skirts to reveal as much thigh as possible before Morning Mass.

Did I harbor unclean thoughts as I drove past? Hell yes. Did I suppress these thoughts, ashamed lest God or offspring should glimpse them like a subscription-only cable channel through the slightly protuberant windows of my eyes? No, I did not.

Why? Because they were just thoughts. I knew I would never dally with these young plaid-girt she-scholars, having no real desire to do so, nor access to a supply of GHB.

The same cannot be said for conservative males. They are ravening sex fiends on a hair-trigger, doomed to act out their polluted fantasies because thought and deed are the same to them.

(There's something else wrong with conservative females, a subject I will not treat here. Mainly because they don't seem to get caught as often as the males. I deal in facts, not speculation.)

Crushing to extinction our inner reptile response to stimuli of any kind, whether it is fear, hunger, or erotic desire (I can't actually think of any other stimuli), is impossible. We are nothing more than ambulatory sacks of glandular secretion. Nature has decreed that life must replicate itself; it has no other innate purpose. [Who can say...]

One of the strategies for self-replication involves a thing we scientists like to call 'urges'. That's when a male gets a boner, for example. Organisms that attempt to suppress these urges quickly go mad and behave like Auntie Mildred's Pomeranian, humping the vicar's shoe until beaten senseless with a rolled newspaper. In contrast to this aberrant-suppressive approach to urges, the 'normal' response (that is, the response that is most efficient and least interruptive to an organism's survival-oriented behaviors, such as holding down a day job or eating termites) is to allow such urges to pass. They are, after all, just urges. They do not exist.

I often have an urge to blacken my face with burnt cork and sing Mammy at the intersection of Wilmington and El Segundo in Compton, just to see what will happen.

But I do not act on the urge.

I allow the urge to come and go, just as I allow the palm trees to sway, the infinity pool to sparkle, and the polo ground to exhale dewy mist in the morning when I step out onto the balcony of the chateau.

Things go on within us and without us, unbidden and unremarked-upon. To imagine one can control either one is madness.

Could I cut the trees down, to make them still? Drain the pool? Pave the lawns? Yes, I could, overlooking certain zoning restrictions. But why would I? Somewhere there will be a swaying palm tree.

It is inevitable that a person seeking such absolute control over the involuntary universe, whether it is inside his head or outside his French doors, will go insane.

An urge is just like the swaying of a tree. It is only what it is, and harmless. An urge that is acted upon is no longer an urge. It is an action. Not harmless.

The real trouble comes when a human attempts to utterly quash a pervasive urge, such as the urge to mate, past the built-in tolerances of the organism to deny such behaviors. Your basic conservative male (Ann Coulter, for example) is a boiling cesspool of repressed urges.

They see liberal types and imagine we are all fucking and sucking in some vast, sweaty daisy chain, just around the corner so they can't see it happening. They think we're all smoking pot and jamming cocaine-floured dildos up each other's asses and listening to Negro Music. The conservative imagines all this, and immediately has to stuff these imaginings down in a dark inner place, because even imagining them is verboten. They are repressed, they are half-insane with paranoid delusions about what normal, open-minded people are getting up to-and most of all, they're jealous as hell they weren't invited to participate, if only so they could self-righteously say 'no'.

Liberals, meanwhile, are not necessarily getting laid any more than conservatives (probably we are, though), but we experience without judgment the passing fancies that occur to us, rather than dwelling upon them, half-nauseated, half-aroused, until they become detailed fantasy scenarios that beg to be put into action, presumably on someone too young to be familiar with the concept of sexual predators.

I have often posited in the past that most serious conservative males are latent homosexuals.

They are tormented, according to this thesis, by knob-gobbling hobgoblins that were awakened during some fetishistic hazing ceremony back at the fraternity and have since been locked up in an inner love dungeon where they metamorphosed into demons of dingle-dandling depravity that would make even the most debased patrons of such establishments as The Manhole and the White Swallow (tragically defunct gay bars in Chicago) blench with horror.

But this theory does a disservice to homosexuals. I reject the premise.

Conservative males are not latent homosexuals, they are common perverts.

It's the tendency towards penny loafers and Georgian Revival that got me confused.

Homosexuality is, contrary to right-wing hate-think, not particularly unusual or unnatural in the natural world.

Many species, particularly when there is some kind of population pressure (overgrazing, for example, or living in a Hassidic neighborhood) exhibit a rise in homosexual behavior that remains consistent in individuals throughout their lives. There is a famous example involving herds of bison, the details of which I have forgotten but I think there was a whole band of young bulls that ended up making their own slipcovers.

Homosexuals that are open about their sexual identity are healthy and normal. They're just healthy and normal in a revolting way if you're not homosexual.

The same thing could be said about corporate lawyers or the Swiss. Homosexuals that cannot accept what they are, do generally become right-wing cranks, and sometimes get caught testing the waters in the ole swimming hole, as it were.

It can be said that all latent homosexuals are conservative, but all conservatives are not latent homosexuals. The ones in the latter category are dangerous freaks.

See, a conservative is somebody threatened by the quality of being different. As in: different race, gender, income bracket, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sexual inclination, language, philosophy, educational background, lifestyle, wardrobe, age group, taste in music, drugs, or literature, different ideas, spending patterns, abilities, politics, friends, entertainments, and hairstyle. Threatened by all of those things, usually.

Conservatives are xenophobic to a degree that normal people cannot imagine.

To be homosexual is to be not just different, but way different; this is intolerable, and leads many otherwise useful human beings into conservativism, hence the latency. But the latter category of conservative, the sexual deviant (it seems to me based upon my extremely well-reasoned examination of the above list), is the one that causes all the trouble, and should not be conflated with the homosexual.

Queers (males, anyway) are born that way, like southpaws and redheads. On the other hand, sexual deviancy (as psychologists never tire of reminding us) is not inherited, but learned.

It's always someone older.

An adult gets at a child, teaches him or her the Way of the Willy, and slinks off into the night.

Or the child is told again and again by an authoritarian parent full of bile and Bible that sex is dirty, that Jesus died a virgin, that sexual thoughts or feelings are the Devil turning the crank on your personal erector set. If Uncle Gerald made you play hide-the-salami every night for ten years, or if you feel erotic urges of any kind, you are not, these tragic youngsters learn, like normal people. You are --wait for it-- different. Not only different, but exposed to ridicule, calumny, obloquy, and probably (assuming these conservatives actually believe the Biblical vitriol they're forever spewing, which I am inclined to doubt) eligible for the Eternal Burning Torments Of Hell. Voila! A conservative perv is born: one that will eventually succumb to nasty deviant behaviors, unable to keep the lid on those early traumatic experiences, like Laocoön wrestling with his snakes and little boys.

If God is watching, why do these crackpots keep on buggering youngsters cross-eyed?

Surely their bitter old God frowns on that as much as homosexuality, if not more so, and in many New England states it's also illegal.

If God can tell they're thinking something off-color while driving past the Catholic school (the one that was on the shortest route to my kid's school, for example), surely He can tell they're plundering some press-ganged juvenile bottom in the cloakroom of the local ministry?

I cannot say what logic supports this behavior. It is hypocrisy of the basest kind, certainly. It may be that the alpha-conservatives convince themselves it's the children's fault, for dressing up in those sexy terrycloth pyjamas with feet.

Or maybe they are so drunk with power they imagine what they do isn't wrong, channeling God's authority first-hand, teaching the little naughties a valuable lesson.

But I think it comes down to conflating urges and actions, in the end (or 'actions in the end', if you prefer).

These conservatives have spent their lives denying themselves and others various things: they deny themselves the mustachioed sailor of their dreams, and they deny black people basic civil rights. They deny themselves a furtive glance at an early-period Britney Spears video, and they deny women the right to reproductive freedom.

The conservative doesn't understand that an urge is only an urge, nothing more, and doesn't understand that people who are different are not a threat to them personally, nor to their house-of-cards moral apparatus.

They live in terror of being perceived to be different, of succumbing to their urges, and that terror, amalgamated with those simmering, repressed urges, manifests itself at last in vile, deviant behavior that strikes out at the world, wounding its most defenseless citizens and creating in the process a new generation of secret guilt and shame and fear of being different.

I guess.

Who knows.

Maybe conservatives are just born fucked up in the head.

But a list like the one excerpted above is certainly thought-provoking. It reveals in miniature a pattern of behavior that can be found in people of all stripes and inclinations. There are plenty of liberal sex criminals, too, and deviants in every walk of life.

The thing that is so repulsive about social conservatives (other than everything) is that they make it the central point of their lives to decry this stuff, calling down blood and thunder against such abomination, and then they do it.

They abhor abortion because it is murder, and then they kill abortion providers on their doorsteps.

They rant and rave about the dangers of gay marriage, and then they get caught gnawing on some 9th-grader's weenie.

The conservative male is a creature that wants to destroy everything that is different, everything that threatens to tickle an urge into a full-blown offense. He wants to create a world where there is no temptation, no opportunity that could incite his inner monster to erupt and embarrass him at some schoolgirl's expense.

It is of course insanity.

I would almost pity the conservative male, except he's destroying mankind and the world --the real world-- in order to keep his imaginary world in order.

He wants nothing more than absolute oppression of us sinners, libertines, and free thinkers, imagining in his feverish, gristly mind that if he oppresses us, he can somehow repress himself.

Hi this is the creator of citzen X the worlds first viral poem. I'm posting it here first because Ever since i accidentally came across the coincidentalists guide to 9/11 here I've been reading the archives and your comments and know you are some of the brightest people on the net. Thus you could if you so choose help me spread this viral poem, or more importantly help create more of it. And yes a viral poem could also be called spam but we must use math to counter the hundreds of lies we are told a day with hundreds of truths. I believe it is possible for citizen x to spread exponentially. in fact one of the meanings of the x is citizen ^x We must repeat ourselves like those talking heads on fox. Further instructions and sections will be forthcoming when i feel like typing them up but now it is time for the first infection

Hello friends-
Here's the throw-down. Funny Ol' plane crash today, huh? Coincidence or planned event? Here's my amateur occult numerology demo for today. The date, 10-11-06. First the date itself is a 'harmonic' of 9-11, if you will. It echoes back to, makes you think about 9-11. The first two numbers, 10 and 11 give you 21. 21 as in Gateway 21,as in 21st century. A favorite concept of the cryptocracy( read Hoffman's 'Secret Societies and Psychological Warfare) To go deeper, add 10 and 11 and 06. That renders 27. 27 is three times 9, or 999 or up-ended, 666. Occult numerology reveals itself when it manifests in more than one way, as above. The numbers do NOT need to be tortured. Just examined. The point is simply this: Today's improbable small plane crash into a fifty story tall apartment building in Manhattan was no accident, it was a planned event. The cryptocracy uses the event to (a) scare the living crap out of New Yorkers, on a day strangely similar, and close in proximity to 9-11. (b) most likely serve as a warning to the rest of the American public, that they are never, ever safe, weather from terrorists or from 'dumb-luck', as this event was made to appear to be (c) Cause skeptics like people on this board to go nuts, knowing that the Cryptocracy has pulled another one off, but being unable to convey such understanding to family and close friends, the ones we most naturally want to warn. They have a wicked, cruel sense of humor. The Cryptocracy, or hidden government makes war on the public by using psychological attacks to cripple and bewilder us. Thier goal, to leave us so shell shocked that soon we simply become mentally and emotionally paralyzed.
Bizarre as the above sounds at first, a quick check of your 'gut' will tell you this was no accident. But the mind boggles when trying to figure out how it was done. Perhaps the 'how' of it is not really our job. These are clearly perilous times, But perhaps we can take comfort in being alert enough to recognize the traps of those who mean us harm, so that at least we can avoid those traps.

We need courage, we need wisdom we need minds like scalpels we need to be as cold blooded as snakes and as pasionate as a shakespeare charachter. We need a sense of history of reverence and we need to learn new contempt.

shrub,

Sure, celebrity backfires 9 out of 10 times. But as a side-effect of popularity and thus reaching a large number of people, it has loads of potential for either serving *or* sabotaging "Mammon".

As far as people being coerced into celebrity worship, I sincerely doubt that. Nevertheless, you can learn as much from the outside world as you can from the inner. The sword cuts both ways.

I myself must become more then a poet not because citizen x does not love poetry and Art, with a cpaital Art is my fod or was but my godesses have always been life and truth. Citezen X would have been perfectly happy writing novels reading books and above all fucking beautiful women and partying. If I had the money I'd live abroad and not think about America until it's fascists forces arrived to reatake what ever south american country I'm in. You see I felt a lot freer in a former dictatorship like Chile then i do here in the land of the slave home of the coward. Yet my family has been downsized just like the rest of yours.
But now paradoxically Citizen X must now become a patriot because there is no where to run for any of us because well except for the rich we'll all be in slave labor camps soon. Don't believe me? we have over 7 million people in prison working for 20 cents an hour it's the same in russia in china in north korea except we have way more people in prison then they do. And it gets worse soon They will be locking people up on life sentences for pirating music looking at online porn think I'm making this up check out infowars.com. Why becuase the same people who are running the war on terror the war on drugs own the prisons and print the money. Most of you are in prison right now only you don't realize it, they put mercury in your vaccines to make you stupid and socially inept but more importantly they have created the most brilliant propagand machine in history. It's effectiveness is measured by the fact that people don't think it's propaganda they call it the evening news, the newspaper and yes the blog.
Yes citizen X must become a patriot first by stealing that word back from the thugs and tyrants who have made it another word for mindless obediaence and tyranny.Citizen X must learn to speak clearly to be a poet is not enough. I must achive clarity to save my life I must speak simply I am like sherazade I must tell tales to save my life but i will tell true ones so I can save yours.
They taught us at college that you were fools low grade morons but thats not true because some of the smartest people i know didn't graduate from high school. I know that deep down your as scared of whats happening to this country as I am but you think if you ignore it put it out of your mind Just keep your mouth shut it will all turn out ok. And yes i am talking about America but your country is in the same state as ares are some further along in their evil plans like el salvador some less far like the EU. Citizen X is a citizen of the world but that doesn't mean he wants to live in a one world government run by inbred oligarchs. And here citizen X thought only madmen sought to rule the world but as long as it keeps us safe. Ha we won't be safe until we beat these bastards and stop listening to their lies.
Yes the bastards how proud they are to be descended from the mass murderers of medieval europe. They are all related to the sort of mindless thugs that we used to build prisons to house before we decided to turn them into slave labor camps for potheads. It's was to escape these dumb thugs that at least some of our ancestors came here, the ones who weren't just looking to get rich or were dragged here in chains or were already here before that pirate columbus arrived with his army of thugs to burn and loot and infect a continent.
I forgive you americans because you didn't plan this shit THEY did. Yes the same bastards were in charge then as now. They made there fortunes in slavery and genocide. And no I don't mean the jews. The jews have been their scapegoats for 1500 years why do you think bush hired all those neo cons? So that you would blame the Jews. Bush his family were the nazis banker in chief they made their fortune on jewish slave labor then they claim to love israel. Not that israel is blameless they have had the palestinians locked in refugee camps for 50 years. But most israelis are the victim of the same psy-op that americans are. Phony state sponsored or mereley intentionally provoked real terror has driven them crazy. Oh but keep going neo cons keep being a pawn in their plot to make everyone hate the jews. Keep being used to eventually get israel nuked and the jews in camps. 15 years ago sadham was our friend then he was our enemy. in ww2 it was the jews then the commies then the muslims, next it'll be jews again mark my word. Oceania has always been at war with east asia. and guess who there setting up to take all that red state rage when they realize what is going on.
They have always been in charge but you used to know who they were but I'm guessing around the time we chopped off that tyrant louis 16th head they decied to go covert, leave celebrity to the actors, they want power. As for money they print the stuff.
Yes they have existed for a long time our secret rulers but wheteher it's inbreeding, cultural decadence or simple boredom things today make the Nixon era seem like a paradise and what is coming in just 5 or 6 years will make 1984 look like periclean athens.Open your Eyes you are on animal farm I'm talking to you vegetarians stop worrying about the cows and start worrying about your family cause they could be next. I do not read this blog often, but I would like to post this potential concept here.

What do y'all think about the "Second Coming of Christ" being staged by the same group that brought us 9-11?

With the rapid advancement of Computer Animation and the strong desire for the Messiah to return, I think it would be at least contemplated by the Disney Corp and the rest.

The ramifications of this possiblity frighten me and it is currently only part of my imagination.

If anyone has scrolled down this far, and just for the record, I would like to correct two serious misstatements within the text of the essay by "One for the Money": that Buddhism recognizes a "fall (into ignorance)" and that it possesses "a doctrine of the Absolute."
A "fall" into ignorance presupposes the existence of time; from the point of view of One Mind, there is no time.
As far as this idea of an "Absolute" is concerned, we may ask ourselves: what does this mean, really? Is it, perhaps, a word used to cover our ignorance?

Not all urges are messages from the reptile brain. I recall thirty years ago my father explaining that he wouldn't ever dare try smoking marijuana, even just to find out what all the fuss was about, because it might make him abandon my mother and run off to become a beachcomber on a tropical island.

I thought that was a lovely fantasy, and that if he could have made friends with it instead of fearing it, his life could have been a lot richer. Not by acting it out, you understand, but by embracing his inner beachcomber.

Along the same lines, there's scarcely a science fiction or fantasy show on television that hasn't had an episode or two featuring some mechanism that causes the characters to drop all inhibitions and act out their inner urges. Those urges often involve the fulfillment of sexual desires, but usually in the form of acknowledging a secret longing for one particular individual -- not reptile-brain behavior at all.

So it may be true that conservative psychology is based on the suppression of urges -- but I very much doubt that the urges being repressed are reprehensible ones. Rather, people use the image of a reprehensible outcome to avoid accepting positive but socially or personally unacceptable longings -- like my father using the illusory fear of abandoning my mother as a way of dismissing his secret desire to become a tropical beachcomber.

Or Rick Santorum saying that gay marriage would lead to man-on-turtle sex.

We as a culture have spent the last century and a half thinking of ourselves as barely-domesticated animals and obsessively proding at our psyches in the hope of discovering raw animal urges to be horrified over. Meanwhile, the true dreams and longings that ought to be leading us to distant horizons remain unacknowledged and unfulfilled.

Investigation into allegations that a secret church directive, issued by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger before he became Pope Benedict XVI, is being used to silence the victims of child sex abuse by Roman Catholic priests.

Colm O'Gorman, who was raped as a 14-year-old boy by his local parish priest in Ireland, travels to America, Brazil and the Vatican City to uncover more.

Though it's "not your father's Roman Catholic Church" to be sure...

The so called "Vatican", that core administrative level of the global Roman Catholic Church, with billions of followers, is completely infiltrated by the OTO. And the OTO is infiltrated by the Illuminati. Follow:

By the later 1800s early 1900s, secret gnostic induction based societies with Christian mock up's as part of their rituals began to take it over. This was the Gnostic Catholic Church--otherwise known as the Ordo Templis Orientis (OTO), established and spruced up by Alister Crowley for the purpose of replacing Roman Catholicism with OTO graded induction based religion with the clueless Roman Catholics still on the outside and the completely different belief frameworks at the core of the Roman Catholic Church by now.

This is toward the globalized gnostic "revealed doctrine" and prohibitionary based knowledge system that the global occult elites want to utilize to dominate the psyche of the rest of the world--without the rest of the world knowing that Catholicism has changed. In other words the Catholic laity become the equivalent of Masonic porch brethern at the Blue Degrees, without knowing that there are other levels in the Catholic church by now.

What has replaced the core elites of of Catholicism? Drawing from the information and history supplied from authors/journalists like Greg Symanski (sp?) or Craig Heimbichner (his Blood on the Altar: The Secret History of the World's Most Dangerous Secret Society), it is the OTO.

The OTO (English translation: "Order of Eastern Templars") is the Gnostic Catholic Christian Church, a combination of all of the esoteric higher ritual grades and information (if you call it that) from many different Masonic, Misraim, Memphis, Jewish Cabbalistic, and Martinist secret societies. Crowley oversaw its synthesis in the early 1900s. Crowley was sponsored by Reuss for the job.

They had pretty much infiltrated the real Roman Catholic Church by the early 1900s, replacing its leadership stealthily. However, the last Emperor of Austria (before WWI still there) exercised a long unused veto right he had in papal elections and vetoed the OTO-cloaked candidate for next pope.

The Emperor of Austria's veto was used against Cardinal Rampolla, Vatican Secretary of State, second only to the pope in power before his attempt at the papacy, a Mason and a member of the OTO.

Rampolla's OTO network in the Roman Catholic Church survived however and "made popes" by the 1930s. This was the infamous "Hitler's Pope" Pius XII (Eugenio Pacelli).

The OTO (ostensibly 'looking like' RCC involvement from the outside as either Knights of Malta cloaked involvement for instance) is additionally inbuilt into the intelligence services of Britain and the U.S.A.--as well as the rocketry and avionics groups in California.

This would explain why the exoterically 'high Catholic' groups like the Knights of Malta were intimately responsible and contributed toward killing John F. Kennedy, when they were esoterically OTO really I would presume. (See the sprawling book "Vatican Assassins", a book that is insane in some places, astoundingly germane in others...It unfortunately fails to talk about the possibility of infiltration however, though you can read between the lines once you get to the 20th century in the book.) This gets back of course into the Jesuits already being OTO linked as well.

And there is that strange Alta Vendita text. Originally published in Italian in the 19th century, the Alta Vendita (or, in full: The permanent instruction of the Alta Vendita) is a document purportedly produced by the highest lodge of the Italian Carbonara, the Masonic revolutionary society that organized the overthrow of the Papal States and was the crucial leadership for the Italian secular nationalist movement. The document details an alleged Masonic plan to infiltrate the Roman Catholic church and spread liberal ideas within it over the genearations, expressing a desire to "make a cloaked pope" as it were. The Carbonari had strong similarities to Freemasonry, and so the document is seen by some as a Masonic document. In the nineteenth century Pope Pius IX and Pope Leo XIII both asked for it to be published. By asking that the document be published, the popes expressed their belief that it was true.

I'm not Catholic by any means, though I know a stinking occult conspiracy for mind control of the innocents on the outer levels when I see one--and Catholics should know that they require some sort of Catholic loyal Protestant Reformation once more unless they are satified with being the porch brethern of a large billion member graded induction secret society that still lies and calls itself the Roman Catholic Church to keep its members loyal.

What went on in the RCC throughout the 20th century in my opinion is more globally corrupt than it was back when the groundswell of Luther and others were in the air in the 1500s.

Before this Roman Catholic Church infiltration occurred supremely and made popes by the 1930s, Crowley was chosen for the OTO headmastership/grandmastership by the German Theodor Reuss.

Reuss had Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia contacts across England and Germany. Ruess is known to have been personally "thanked for loaning us the Illuminati papers, which have been successfully received and will be translated [from German]" and returned back to Reuss--according to some personal letters back to Reuss, from his English brethren in SRIA which are primary documents you can read for yourself printed in the appendix of Lady Queenborough's (Edith Starr Miller's) posthumous masterwork Occult Theocracy, published in the early 1930s. Miller only had it printed it posthumously because she feared for her life. She additionally published a copy of Crowley's 33rd degree induction certificate into the Scottish Rite Masonry. Reuss had sponsored Croley for this OTO position. Thus German Reuss with Illuminati induction ceremony or some other Illuminati papers sponsored Crowley into taking over the OTO. And then the OTO took over the Roman Catholic Church from the inside.

For background on Miller, Edith Starr Miller (perhaps from the same family of the Starr that was involved in the founding of the OSS in the next generation; and the interntational banking powerhouse AIG) was the second of two American wives of Lord Queenborough.

Lord Queenborough's first late wife was another American of high financial family power likely occult, even Illuminated--the hyper-rich Whitneys who are very much involved in Skull and Bones and the history of the United States in a major way.

Lord Queenborough's first wife, this Whitney, was born in New York City, New York, the daughter of Flora Payne (another intergenerational Skull and Bones family) and businessman and statesman William C. Whitney, a Bonesman himself. This first wife supposedly died of poor health in 1916. Her father William Collins Whitney (July 5, 1841 - February 2, 1904) was an American political leader, financier, and founder of the prominent Whitney family. As I said, William Collins Whitney was Skull and Bones (S&B, 1863). The Bonesman was a conservative reformer, he was considered a 'Bourbon Democrat', a term used in the United States from 1876 to 1904 to refer to a conservative or classical liberal member of the Democratic Party, especially one who supported President Grover Cleveland in 1884–1896 and Alton B. Parker in 1904.

Bourbon Democrats represented business interests, supported banking and railroad goals, promoted laissez-faire non-regulatory capitalism, opposed imperialism and U.S. overseas expansion, fought for the gold standard, and opposed bimetallism. They strongly supported reform movements such as Civil Service Reform and opposed corruption of city bosses. During President Cleveland's first administration (1885-1889), Whitney was United States Secretary of the Navy and did much to develop the United States Navy, especially by encouraging the domestic manufacture of plate armor. However, by the early 1900s, the Democrats were imperialist as state regulatory (as the Republicans), ousting the 'Burbon Democrats' like the W. C. Whitney.

William Whitney was born at Conway, Massachusetts of Puritan stock. His father was another miliarist, General James S. Whitney (non Bones) and his mother Laurinda Collins (possibly of an Illuminized branch of the Collins). William had a well known older brother, industrialist, Henry Melville Whitney (1839-1923) (non Bones), who was the founder of the West End Street Railway Company of Boston, and later the Dominion Coal Company & Dominion Iron & Steel Company in Sydney, Nova Scotia on Cape Breton Island.

William Whitney graduated from Yale University in 1863 as Skull and Bones, then studied law at Harvard, and practised with success in New York City. He was an aggressive Bonesman opponent of the Tweed Ring, and was actively allied with the anti-Tammany organizations, the Irving Hall Democracy of 1875-1890, and the County Democracy of 1880-1890, but upon the dissolution of the latter, he soon joined the only crony club that won and became identified with Tammany instead--once his political enemy. He was United States Secretary of the Navy, 1885 - 1889.

This father Whitney married Flora Payne, the sister of his wealthy Yale classmate Oliver Hazard Payne (non Bones). However, both the Whitneys and the Paynes are intergenerational Skull and Bones families--4 Paynes, 10 Whitneys.

So all those connections married into the Pagets in England. Whitney's had five children:

1. Harry Payne Whitney (1872-1930)
2. Pauline Payne Whitney (married Lord Queenborough, Paget) (1874-1916)
3. William Payne Whitney (1876-1927) (the only Bonesmen of the group)
4. Oliver Whitney (1878-1883)
5. Dorothy Payne Whitney (1887-1968)

So following all this, with the second wife, another American, Edith Starr Miller, she seems to have been out of her depth and shocked by the extent that British high society and her Paget/Queenborough context was completely 'owned' by secret societies--shocked enough to write all about it.

Baron Queenborough, of Queenborough in the County of Kent, was a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1919 for the Conservative politician Almeric Hugh Paget, who had previously represented Cambridge in the House of Commons. This would have been several years after his Whitney wife died in 1916.

He was the youngest child of another militarist General Lord Alfred Henry Paget, fifth son of Henry William Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey. His father was at Waterloo, Field Marshal Henry William Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey KG GCB GCH (17 May 1768 – 29 April 1854) was a British military leader and politician, now chiefly remembered for leading the charge of the heavy cavalry against d'Erlon's column during the Battle of Waterloo.

The title for his son became extinct on Lord Queenborough's death on September 22, 1949.

His first wife was Pauline Payne Whitney (born March 21, 1874 – November 22, 1916), was an American heiress and a member of the prominent Bonesman Whitney family.

His second wife was another American, Edith Starr Miller. She may have been related to the supremely huge Miller branch family in Skull and Bones, which funnelled a lot of money into Skull and Bones and gave them Deer Island. She certainly was unaware of what was going on, if she is of this Bonesman Miller branch. She is known for her posthumously published two volume encyclopedia of European secret societies called Occult Theocracy--implying synarchy being practiced in the family she married into and its close relations.

How Edith Starr Miller, as Lady Queenborough in England, came across copies of Illuminati Reuss/SRIA letters, or came across Crowley's 33rd degree induction into Scottish Rite Masonry is anyone's guess... so start guessing for me if you have something to say.

Shrub and friends-
if you guys are referring to my earlier post- I don't mean at all to imply that pitcher Cory Lidle is an illuminist, necessarily. We was certainly cocky, and probably not a great pilot. Here's my point- The circumstances surrounding his crash are too strange to have ' just happened'. The date and time as I mentioned, are just too spot-on to be conicidence. And have you seen his flight path? The networks have been playing an animated 3D replay of it all day. As he headed up the river, he suddenly took a sharp left turn, going completely off his path, to slam into THE OPPOSITE SIDE of the building. In other words, he practically passed the building and made a u-turn to hit it. That just doesn't happen. Point is, these things can be arranged. We've been told that this ball player and his passanger were in the aircraft at the time. And while I've seen neither bodies nor wreckage, I might be willing to buy that. It's VERY ODD that his passport should flutter down and land on the sidewalk, in the midst of all this, a la the alleged 911 hijackers. But okay, lets say it did. But there are many, many ways to fly a plane into a building, and they don't all have to involve the pilot's consent. I submit though, that the crash was engineered to have the precise effect is currently having. I also submit that those who arranged the crash are illuminists, and that once again, they've left their nasty fingerprints all over the crime. The loss of life involved, and the fear the crash has invoked are real tragedies.

The NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Weird he just like veered off and looped into the building....

Below snipped from link.

Minutes later, emergency sirens were wailing and rescue workers were racing past panicked pedestrians, many of whom just missed being hit by burning plane parts and glass showering down on the street. Among the items police quickly recovered was Lidle's passport - and a man's leg.

For the Yankees, who lost star catcher Thurman Munson in a 1979 plane crash, Lidle's death was another tragedy

Though I'm inclined to dismiss most of what anonymous has to say about the Catholic Church (and haven't we already had all that stuff about Edith Starr Miller dropped on us before? maybe more than once?), I was still given pause by today's story about the Church being about to revive the Latin mass as part of making peace with its extreme-right breakaways.

Far from being Crowleyites or Illuminati, the real forces pulling the levers of the Church in recent decades all seem to be borderline-fascist groups like the Knights of Malta (with its CIA affinities) and Opus Dei, with smaller traditionalist factions like Tradition, Family, and Property not far behind.

I bear the Catholic Church no ill will, but if these groups have decided it's time to stop operating in the shadows and take over direct control, I can't see the Church holding together more than another decade, if that. It was only the reforms of John XXIII that have kept it intact this long, and those are all being reversed.

Or have they decided that they can do without North America and Europe and set up a new power base in the Third World? Stranger things have happened.

(Who do you want to bet on being in control in East Asia in 2025 -- the Catholics or the Moonies?)

To veer off course for a bit, if anyone else out there has been harboring less-than-mainstream views of what happened at the Amish schoolhouse recently (and I know you have), this should be of interest:

Site of Amish schoolhouse shooting razed

By MARTHA RAFFAELE, Associated Press Writer

NICKEL MINES, Pa. - Workers with heavy machinery rather than hand tools moved in before dawn Thursday and demolished the one-room Amish schoolhouse where a gunman fatally shot five girls and wounded five others.

Construction lights glared in the mist as a large backhoe tore into the overhang of the school's porch around 4:45 a.m., then knocked down the bell tower and toppled the walls. Within 15 minutes, the building was reduced to a pile of rubble. By 7:30 a.m., the debris was gone, leaving just a bare patch of earth.

The schoolhouse had been boarded up since the killings 10 days earlier, with classes moved to a nearby farm. The Amish planned to leave a quiet pasture where the schoolhouse stood...(cont)

Does his celebrity personna lead you to believe he's not capable of complicity?

About that softly falling passport...synchronous events are supposed to be unexpected, I think. It's part of the catch-your-breath, snap-your-neck double-take at the surprising, and sometimes sinister, connectedness of memes. The fluttering passport is certainly one such, but there have been other weirdnesses in screenland recently, too. There is an element of surprise for me in happening to catch anything that transpires in the 2-D world, since I will only somewhat regularly watch Colbert, much less frequently Stewart, and not much else at all. Last night, I turned on the telly and there's South Park's 9/11 special on. I don't know whether it was a rerun, and I'm not well attuned to the thoughts of twenty year-olds in general, but it was a little strange to go from the miracle passport to the hipster debunking of 9/11 in such short order.

Alex Jones is, predictably, all upset about South Park's "complicity," but he seemed to miss the point, or at least the method of the debunking. S.P. started off by implying that BushCo is too inept to have pulled off "the most perfectly executed terror incident in history" (while ignoring the even smaller likelihood of cave-dwellers doing so), but then the "real" message, subtle as a brick, was that the 9/11 conspiracy movement is government-orchestrated in order to put a paralyzing fear into the masses, including 'messages' delivered through events in the news...which brings us back to the softly falling passport...synchronous events are supposed to be unexpected...(oh yeah, sorry--these loops keep getting stuck.)

To top the evening's veiled threats off, I then drove middle daughter home from a friend's house and she yelled at me for listening to scary things on the radio (Daniel Ellsberg on NPR talking about the madness of the imperial presidency, the inevitability of nuking Iran, and the odds [50%-60%] of the long-feared October Surprise. .) So, what's a person to think? Do they want us scared? Do pigs fly? (Yes they do, strangely enough: according to ancient Czech tradition, if you fast all day on Christmas, you might be lucky enough to hallucinate the mythical golden pig. Since you're already hallucinating, the MGP tends to float around a bit as well, sometimes leading the starved visionary to chase it across the frozen winter wastes...wait, this is reminding me of the strange loops again. Who's a pig? What's golden?)

More insight from Upton:

"Our elite rulers did not lead us into tyranny and environmental collapse because they are evil people, but because they were forced to by the nature of capitalism. Capitalism must continually grow in order to survive. If investors have nowhere to increase their funds then they stop investing and the whole system collapses like a house of cards.

"Propaganda myth tells us that capitalism and free enterprise are one and the same thing. They are not. Under free enterprise a business can provide a service or product, make a profit in the process, and continue on stably for many years. Under capitalism such a business would be considered a failure - it does not provide a growth opportunity for an investor. Under capitalism society is forced to continually destroy old ways of doing things and adopt new ways - not because it is good for society but because that is how wealthy investors can increase their wealth still further."

I would add the comment that "capitalism" is a form of - Mammon.

CHICAGO -
"President Bush stood shoulder-to-shoulder with embattled House Speaker
Dennis Hastert on Thursday, offering a powerful boost in his moment of need and declaring the country "better off" with Hastert in power.

"I am proud to be standing with the current speaker of the House who is going to be the future speaker of the House," Bush said as he opened a speech to raise money for two Illinois congressional candidates.

We're better off with the sweaty fat guy in power. Do you here that America?

Y'all can sleep a bit sounder tonight knowing that a man of such obvious Christ-like conviction as George W. Bush has signed off on the sweaty fat guy.

O-motherfucking-K!

So America, exactly how bloody fucking stupid are y'all anyway?

How large of a serving of reeking fecal matter are y'all prepared to eat?

Consider this though America...you've had 6 effing years of goddamn fecal stew, what's one more serving, eh?

Open wide bitch, cause President Zippy is packing a huuuuuuuuuuuge shovel.

Yum-yum.

You love it.

& ends with double hockeysticks.

That EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE in the middle is just the sound of all that "freedom truth & justice" jazz we've been deluded with being lubelessly ass fucked for all it's worth.

yeah I get this bad feeling that the average American doesn't have a clue as to what is coming at us over the next few weeks....what these folks did to the poor trapped folks stuck on the upper floors of the WTC towers is basically what is going to happen to a good number of us.

There are too many major events that have been happening too close together, the school shootings, now the weird plane crash in NYC, that have the effect of terrorizing the masses and stopping them from thinking about the latest torture bill that got passed with no opposition that basically set back the clock a few hundred years, strips habeas corpus, nulls the Geneva Convention, gives dictatorial powers to the president that he's been seeking.

something is about to go down but in a way that we just couldn't imagine. BushCo won't be using the military because they've even outsourced the imposition of martial law and the crackdown process to private contractors who are willing to do anything for a price.

I see black clothed SWAT team men like the folks working for Blackwater just taking over with some help from some military/gov agencies who are "in on the takeover".

if anyone protests, they will simply "disappear" you into one of the waiting 800 camps.

Since our military/gov isn't prepared for this sort of thing, we'll fall because we're scared of our own shadows.

Hope I'm just being merely paranoid and nothing more.

If you go to the feds/gov, they'll throw you into a mental ward and say you're some sort of mental case that needs to be observed for 72 hours in a psych ward.

hope I'm completely wrong.

What's truly amazing is that C.S.Lewis had all of this down in That Hideous Strength, the third volume of his sci-fi trilogy for adults, including engineered false-flag terrorism, draconian security laws, the takeover of police functions by private corporate owned militia, the occult back-story, dispossession of people from their land and their children... All of it.

On another note, to Dicklette, could we have a moratorium from your coprophagic and coprohilic outpourings, as it were? It is really quite distateful and tedious, to say the least.

You are correct, it is "very much." My Grandparents on my Father's side were from Poland, so I'm 50% polish, I guess. Actually, that's a silly notion.....to consider oneself 50% this, or 70% that.

Anyhow, I consider Polish Food, comfort food. We have Golabki twice a year....it's great cold weather fare....fattening as hell....that's why we only have it twice a year.

Well, as kids say 'no duh'.

Exactly what implies that the secret society of Crowleyites ever was leftist as you assume? Or that they were different than the right wing aristocratic hard catholic groups that want monarchies? Infiltration on all levels...

Crowley was a rightist, proto-fascist: politically you should know more about his movement than the foolish commentary that passes for 'knowing all about Crowley' that you implied above. Check out the political goals of Crowleyism--very hirerchial, and very rightist. See Heimbichner's book.

Crowley wanted WWI, loved militarism, drug trips, child sex, child murder, etc.

Then later, right wing pressured drug trips were popularized as 'leftist' in the 1960s to destroy the sentinence of the organized oppositional labor ethnic inclusive left--by the CIA rightists--interesting in sponsoring various ethnic separatism, violence on all sides, and a splintered left movement.

If you got something 'left' out of drugs, more power to you. You are stronger than most: though thousands upon thousands became just stupid burnouts, which was what was intended by the rightists who control the drug networks.

Moreover, certainly you understand the concept of a secret induction society--different on the outside than the in?
